ZipCloud data architects spent many months developing the most secure, fast and stable storage infrastructure for our users files. After much deliberation over the options available we decided to partner with Amazon S3 to utilize their world renowned internet storage. S3 has never lost a file and have a 99.99999999% guarantee they are so confident it will stay this way. To put that into perspective it means, if you were to upload 10,000 files only 1 file would be lost every 10 million years
To complement this advanced storage system, ZipCloud have engineered our own grid infrastructure which talks to Amazon s3 to offer super fast re-calling of your files and gives us the ability to offer advanced services like file versioning and file sharing. These servers are housed in our state of the art data centers around the globe which feature ‘no single point of failure’ to ensure no data is lost. ZipCloud data centers are watched around the clock, 365 days a year. Other features include ultra-redundant power, HVAC and networking systems.
To ensure maximum protection, ZipCloud store copies of your data on multiple servers in multiple locations.

Data storage encryption is governed in order to ensure your data is as secure as possible when being stored by a third party. ZipCloud uses double the standard encryption bit rate of other cloud storage services. Our 256bit SSL encryption not only encrypts your files on upload to the server, but also during the storage process.
Encryption prevents unwanted individuals from being able to access, tamper with or vindictively change files to cause harm to you personally or to your business. Encryption is the process whereby you use a program to scramble data in a way which can only be rectified by using a key. While this protects the files while they are on our data servers, by simply storing them away from your PC, Laptop or Mac you are also protecting them from damage, theft or loss.
As previously mentioned, ZipCloud uses 256bit SSL encryption when uploading your files and throughout the period which the data is stored on the server. This level of encryption is sometimes referred to as military grade or bank grade encryption as this is the same standard that these industries use.
Encryption is one of the major reasons why online backup is the preferred choice for computer storage. Encryption prevents malicious parties from attempting to access, change or damage files by storing them in a way which is inaccessible without the key.
